Competition Breeds Success!
Competition plays a central role in CrossFit, whether that’s attempting to best a previous score of your own, racing others in your Group Class, aiming to beat an earlier time written on our whiteboards, or going to a CrossFit competition to compare yourself with other CrossFitters in the area.
Our Coaches have extensive Competition and Judging experience and can help prepare you for upcoming competitions.

Local Competitions
CrossFit Sonoma County and CrossFit Petaluma have had the pleasure of watching many of our members and coaches test themselves at local CrossFit competitions throughout the years. As the community grows, more competitions rise up to fill the months, and give our members more numerous and more local opportunities to test their fitness against their peers in other towns, cities, even countries.

The CrossFit Games
The CrossFit Open
The CrossFit Open is worldwide event open to anybody with internet access, and is the first step in qualifying for the CrossFit Games.
Regional Qualifiers
The top 60 men and top 60 women from each Sectional area qualify to a weekend of competition at the CrossFit Games Regional Qualifiers. Only a handful or less men and women will move on from Regionals to compete at the CrossFit Games.
The CrossFit Games
The CrossFit Games is the ultimate proving grounds to find the world’s fittest man and fittest woman. 2 days of competition narrows the field from about 100 competitors who qualified world-wide, down to the top 20, and eventually the top 3 men and women. The CrossFit Games also hosts a team competition and has a growing Masters Division for athletes over 45.
